Low light photography

When taking a pic in low light conditions there is number of things you have to know (when usuing DSLR camera).

1. Using the flash will only light up the persons in front but the background will be dark and un noticable.

2. For the best shot you have to use a tripod since the exposure time is longer and any slight move will blur the picture.

3. If you cant use a tripod use the automatic "no flash mode" on your camera and try to hold still as you can.

Here is one example of low light condition -taken on the dance floor

This pic was taken with no flash mode and using a tripod

Pic using no flash mode

This pic was taken with regular flash, note that the flash illuminates only the figures in the front leaving the farest in the dark and also the background disappears
